From Jakarta to Yogyakarta
The journey began with urban energy and then moved toward the cultural landscapes of Yogyakarta. Streets, food and daily life introduced the children to an Indonesia beyond family stories.

In October 2015 we travelled as a family of four, with Damon still in his mother's belly. Indonesia connected us to birthplace, relatives and ancestry; Singapore brought gardens, food and child-friendly wonder to the final days.
